Dong Ha/May 68 - May 69

My name is Gary Palmore. I served with the Army 1st Battalion 40th Artillery from May 1968 through May 1969. I am looking for anyone who served with the Army 1st Battalion 40th Artillery during this time period. I was with SVC Battery and drove a 5 ton fuel tanker delivering POL to our firing batteries. After 40 years I thought I would try and locate some people I served with. Hi Gary - right down the road from you at Dong Ha - 68-69 - 237th Combat Support - our CQ bunker was the old concrete French bunker on the north side of the road across from the 1/77 arty and near the 8/4 arty
Ammo dump April 11th, 69
I was with Bravo Co. 9th Motors. I was right outside the dump on perimeter duty, when it was hit with rockets just after 4 pm. Was trapped in the bunker with Freddie Jones for 7 hours. Anyone have any pix or memories to share?
