Looking for shipmates of the U.S.S. Parle de-708 for annual reunion which will be held on April 18,19 ,20 of 2008 in Newport R.I.at the Holiday Inn Express 1-800-333-4121 ask for the Parle reunion block. We are also looking for Ken Niles aka "The Canadian Kid". We have found 157 of the crew so far !!!

Looking for anyone who served with Robert Paul Woodvine 1950's
I am trying to complete some history on Robert P. Woodvine my late Grandfather.
His discharge papers list his last duty assignment as the USS PARLE DE 708.
He served from 1952 or 1953 to 1958.
He never spoke about his military service much. I wanted to fill in some blanks I have in his life.
Anyone who remembers him, might have a photo, a story to share, good bad or otherwise please contact me.
