Whether you’re looking for unlimited resort access for the whole season with the Epic Pass or just a one-day lift ticket, our Ski Resort Military Discount list can help you find the best deals across the United States and beyond. Information is current for the 2022-23 winter season.

NOTE: Please call all listed ski resorts ahead of time to ensure discounts are still valid.

California Ski Resorts

Northern CA

Alpine Ski Resort – Offers active duty free lift tickets.

Bear Valley Ski Resorts — $25/day for lift tickets and free on Sundays for active duty military and their dependents.

Boreal Ski Resort — (Tahoe area) Active duty ski for $15 on Fridays. Holiday restrictions apply.

Diamond Peak Ski Resort — (Tahoe area) Active duty and retirees are eligible to receive a FREE Diamond Peak lift ticket (midweek, non-holiday) and a $39 lift ticket weekends and holidays by showing a Military ID at Guest Services. Dependants receive a $39 lift ticket, valid any day. ITT will receive discounted tickets in December and will offer ski school starting in January.

Donner Ski Ranch — Active duty and students with IDs receive a $15 lift ticket on Mondays and Fridays. Discount not valid on holidays. Blackout dates apply.

Heavenly Ski Resort — (Tahoe area) Active duty, reservists, and family members 13 & up ski for $62 and children 12 & under ski for $33. Holiday restrictions will apply. ITT will receive discounted tickets in December.

Homewood — (Tahoe area) Active duty ski for free any day of the week! Dependants also receive 50% off day lift tickets when accompanied by active duty military.

Kirkwood Mountain Resort — (Tahoe area) Active duty military only ski for $53.

Mount Shasta – (near Oregon border) Active duty military lift tickets for $25. Valid seven days a week.

Mount Rose Ski Resort — (Tahoe area) Active duty ski for $39 any day of the week. Blackout dates require paid lift passes. December 18- January 2 and February 19 & 20. ITT will receive discounted tickets in December.

Northstar at Tahoe — Active duty get military discounts. Holiday restrictions apply.

Sierra at Tahoe — Active duty ski free on Sundays. Holiday restrictions apply.

Squaw Valley Ski Resort — (Tahoe area) Active duty ski for free Sunday thru Friday. Saturday and some blackout dates require paid lift passes.

Sugarbowl Ski Resort — (Tahoe area) Offers Active duty 50% discount off their rack rate ski lift ticket. $71 non-holidays, $77 holidays.

Central California

Badger Pass — (Yosemite area) Offers active duty a military discount

Dodge Ridge — (Pinecrest area) Offers active duty and family members a military discount. Adult lift tickets are $49, teens are $49, 5 and under are free

Mammoth Mountain Resort — (Mammoth Lakes) Active duty and dependents receive a 25% discount off lift tickets Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays, but must show their military ID. A 50% discount is offered when purchased through the base. There are blackout dates around December holiday season and President’s weekend in February.

Ski China Lakes –Active duty receives $10 off lift tickets any day.

Southern California

Bear Mountain Ski Resort – (Big Bear area) Discounted tickets at ITT for XX. Uniform days (active duty military) get a $38 lift ticket on January 5-6, February 2-3, March 9-10, and April 6-7. Bring your ID and get your ticket at the resort. Also, ski or ride free on your birthday.

Mountain High Ski Resort — Discounted tickets to active duty (and other uniforms). Discounted rate is $45 for an 8 hour ticket. Valid 7 days a week including holidays.

Snow Summit Ski Resort — (Big Bear area) Discounted tickets at ITT for XX. Uniform days (active duty military) get a $38 lift ticket. Bring your ID and get your ticket at the resort. Also, ski or ride free on your birthday.

Colorado Ski Resorts

Most Colorado ski resorts offers a military discount, but getting a deal varies by mountain. While some are more cost effective than others, all active duty military members (and their dependents) can expect to receive at least 10% off the price of a daily lift ticket.

Resorts usually accept an Active Duty Military I.D., but several require more comprehensive certification, such as DoD Form 93. Others may want vouchers obtained from your local ITT office.

Many Colorado resorts utilize military-specific discount program known as the Stars and Stripes, Patriot, and Liberty Passes. These passes are a wonderful opportunity for active military members to explore all Colorado skiing has to offer.
The Stars and Stripes pass is available to all active duty and their family members; it provides unlimited season at Loveland, plus three free days at Monarch Mountain and three days at Durango Mountain. Adult season passes are priced at $199, while children aged fourteen and under are $129.

Those eligible for this pass include the following.

• United States Marine Corps

• United States Air Force
• United States Coast Guard
• USPHS Commissioned Corps
• NOAA Commissioned Officer Corps

If you are a retired military member, you can purchase a Retired Military Pass for $279, but your immediate family is not eligible for discounted tickets. Passes must be purchased at a local ITT office.

Patriot Passes must also be picked up at a local ITT office. This pass includes unlimited skiing and riding at Copper Mountain and Winter Park Resort, and it is priced at $269 for adults and $149 for children. Military personnel who don’t want a season pass may also utilize a separate ticketing option. Users must pick up a voucher from a local ITT office and bring to Copper Mountain or Winter Park Resort to redeem. This voucher allows active military members to receive ten $55 tickets for themselves, friends, and family.

Liberty Passes, which allow for unlimited skiing at Keystone and A-Basin, are obtained through a voucher picked up at REI, Air Force Bases, or Fort Carson. This pass is $195 for adults and $112 for children ages 5-12.

Individual Colorado Resort Military Discounts

A-Basin Ski—Uses the Liberty Pass.

Aspen Snowmass — Adult military or military dependent: Regular Season—$116, Peak Season—$127; Child, Teen or Senior military or military dependent: Regular Season—$72, Peak Season—$82

Beaver Creek — Active duty members receive $75 adult day passes and $42 child passes.

Breckenridge — Active and retired military guests: Adult—$95; Child—$62. Discounted season passes are also available.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort — DoD, active duty, and their families can purchase discounted passes at $260 for adults and $113 for young adults/children. January is Military Appreciation Month, wherein active duty can obtain $42 lift tickets, discounted lessons, and 30% off rental services.

Copper Mountain — Patriot Pass. Discounted day passes are $59 for adults and $47 for children.

Eldora Mountain Resort — Military season pass is $149 for active duty, reserve duty, and immediate family members. Discounted day passes are available for $39.

Keystone — Liberty Pass.

Loveland Ski Area — Stars and Stripes Pass.

Powderhorn — $10 off ticket window price with Active Duty Military Card.

Steamboat Ski Resort — Active duty receive a 20% discount on lift tickets, ski/snowboard rental, and lessons. Spouses and eligible dependents must also present military I.D.

Vail — Active duty members receive $75 adult day passes and $42 child passes.

Winter Park Resort — Patriot Pass.

Wolfe Creek Ski Area — Active duty with a domestic military I.D. and/or DoD Form 93 receive $48 discounted day pass.

Utah Ski Resorts

Alta: Save with online rates for peak and non-peak day passes. Ticket window only: discounted deals for afternoon ski sessions (12:30-4:30 p.m. or 2:30-4:30 p.m). Alta Ski Resort offers military discounts on their season passes. For an adult season pass with a military discount, a season pass is around $1,099. A season pass also includes five 25% off all-day passes at Alta for family and friends. Alta also offers a family season pass for $3,399. This includes two adults and two kids aged 17 and under. Each additional kid adds $220 to the total cost.

Beaver Mountain: Discounted tickets are available for seniors age 70 and up, kids under 11 and active, reserve, retired and veteran military service members. The All-Day Surface Lift pass is excellent for first-time skiers/beginners and provides unlimited access to two lifts for a full day. Beaver Mountain ski resort offers a season pass for only $375 per adult. Military dependents ages 5 and under can ski for free all season. For those ages 6-11, a pass can be purchased for $150.

Brian Head: Night skiing and half-day tickets are available at a discounted rate. Night skiing hours are 4 p.m.-9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Half-day lift ticket hours are 10 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on weekdays and 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on weekends.

Brighton: Discounted lift tickets are available for half-day, twilight and night skiing. Additional discounts are available for active military service members. Kids 10 and under can ski and ride free with a pass-holding/paying adult.

Cherry Peak: Discounted rates are available for half-day skiing and night skiing. Children under five ski/ride for free and student discounts are available with a valid school photo ID.

Deer Valley: Discounted lift ticket rates are available for afternoon half-day skiing. Seniors over 65, children (ages five to 12) and tots (four and under) receive discounted rates. A 25% discount is available for active, reserve or retired military personnel with a valid ID. Beginner-level skiers of all ages can purchase single-day tickets for as low as $65.

Eagle Point: Discounted rates are available for youth (ages seven to 17) and seniors (65 and up). Military discounts of 15% are available with proper identification.

Park City: Discounted lift tickets are available for weekday, off-peak skiing. Additional discounts are available for kids (five to 12) and seniors (65 and up). Bundle lift tickets and lodging to get 15% off and maximize your savings. They do offer military discounts on their tickets, but they’re offered through the Epic Pass system. The military discount is also only offered on season passes

Powder Mountain: Save $25 on day and night tickets by purchasing them online in advance. A 35% day ticket discount is available for active duty, guard, reserve or retired service members and their dependents. Children under six and adults over 75 receive free ride tickets. Day tickets (without the discount) range from $115-$140 for adults and $69-$94 for children.

Snowbasin: Save $20 on single or multi-day lift tickets when you buy online a week in advance or $10 by purchasing one day in advance. Discounts are available for youth (ages five to 12) and seniors (65 and up). Kids four and under are free with a paying adult. First-timer? Snowbasin’s Learn & Earn program offers three lift tickets, three lessons, season-long rental equipment and a season pass for the remainder of the season upon program completion for $749.

Snowbird: Purchase your full/half-day lift tickets in advance for the best available rate. Discounted tickets are available for youth (seven to 12) and seniors (65 and up). Children under six are free with a paying adult. Guests who visit with a season pass holder can use the friends & family discount.

Solitude Ski Resort: Purchase tickets online for anywhere from $10 to $30 off. Discounts are available online for youth (ages five to seven), juniors (ages eight to 12) and seniors (65 and up). Beginner tickets, night skiing tickets and military discounts are only available at the ticket window. To get the military discount here, an Ikon Pass is required. With the military discount, an Ikon ski pass can cost anywhere from $249 to $879, depending on the type of pass purchased. Without an Ikon Pass, a Solitude ski pass costs $399 for a midweek pass and $599 for a young adult pass.

Sundance: Discounted lift tickets are available for afternoon half-day or night-only skiing. Discounts are also available for kids in the beginner area (age six and up) and seniors (age 65 and up). Kids five and under ski and ride free.

Woodward Park City: All-day passes for adults (ages seven and up) range from $65 to $75 depending on the day of the week/peak season. Tickets for kids under seven range from $33 to $38. All-access passes (includes ski lift, indoor hub and tubing) are also available at great rates for adults and kids.

Utah Multi-Resort Passes With Military Discounts

If you’re an avid skier, a multi-resort pass might be your best option. Many of these passes will get you into Utah resorts and many others across the country.

Ikon Ski Passes

The IKON Pass provides access to 47 resorts across the globe. It offers unlimited days at Solitude, seven days at Deer Valley, Brighton and Snowbasin and seven shared days between Alta and Snowbird.

An Ikon Pass with the military discount is $879. This pass will get you unlimited access to the Solitude Mountain Resort and seven days each at four other Utah ski resorts: Brighton, Snowbasin, Deer Valley, and Alta. This means an extra 28 days at other resorts in Utah, on top of unlimited access to Solitude Mountain Resort.

Epic Ski Passes

An Epic Ski Pass will get you unlimited access to several resorts for $159 with the military discount. The price is the same for military dependents.

Reciprocal Ski Passes

Purchase a season pass to Brian Head, Sundance or Beaver Mountain and receive three free ski days at partner resorts.

Mountain Collective

The pass offers access to 24 resorts internationally, ranging from Banff Sunshine in Canada, Mt. Buller in Australia, Chamonix in France and Utah’s own Alta, Snowbasin and Snowbird.

Visit your local ITT office for more information on deals. You may strike a better offer by purchasing available passes through them.

If you’re looking for clothing and gear, several sports gear stores offer a military discount. Also, you can check out a nearby military exchange service store to see what’s in stock [Navy Exchange (NEX), Marine Corps Exchange (MCX), or Army and Air Force Exchange (AAFES).] In many cases, the exchange service will honor a price match.

The best place to shop is at your military installation thrift store. These outlets offer free clothing and home goods that are donated by the surrounding military communities. You can generally find the best deals during the summer PCS season when families are likely to get rid of high-ticket items such as sports equipment and gear.
