About Me

After returning to the states in 1971 I worked as a parts manager at a Chrysler dealership in Jeffersonville, IN. for 9 years. In 1980 I changed jobs to a factory worker in a mattress factory also in Jeffersonville and remain there (now 28 years). I am still married to the same wife (40 years), I have two children and four grandchildren. They reside in Tennessee and Georgia. My wife is an elementary teacher (2nd grade) as well as my daughter-in-law. She also teaches 2nd grade.

Words of Wisdom

My military experience was a time of growth (maturity) and trust in God. I wrote a lot of letters home in my spare time. I prayed a lot and like most of the guys, counted down the days until time to go home. The availability of dope, prostitution, and other such things was as common as the sun rising each day. God gave me the strength to resist the temptations. Many of my friends were not so fortunate and came home really messed up. I had a lot of family and friends praying for me all the time and that is what got me through.
