About Me

Retired in 1989, went to Nursing School, worked in Emergency Room, Intensive Care, Burn Center, Operating Room, Transitional Care. Had my right shoulder operated on, week later had a stroke followed by multiple pulmonary embolisms, woke up on a ventilator d/t arresting. Lost my speech and right side. Was sent home after month and a half in hospital. Did outpatient therapy, went back to work, stroke affected my left knee which had to be replaced, have had 3 back surgeries, 90% Rated with the VA, Service connected. Prior to all these medical problems, ran 16 Marathons with a PR of 3:09, Half marathon PR of 85:30, Ten mile PR of 65:15, Ten K PR of 39:00
