- About Me
After retiring from the Navy after 21 years as an EMC(SS/SW), I have worked supporting DoD-DHS as a contractor until my recent defection to a civilian job with GE Energy. Initially, I worked for LCE as an SSMG tech rep for SUBLANT & SUBPAC, also as an assistant TD for FTSCLANT supporting shipboard assessment visits for SURFLANT. I departed LCE and eventually landed at EG&G where I had an opportunity to develop and manage a reliablity centered condition based monitoring and maintainance RCM-CBM) for the US Coast Guard. Life since the Navy has been great. I have had the opportunity to travel extensively and without being underway (much). I have spent most of the last eight years in the Pacific and enjoyed Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and Japan. The Alaska trips included Kodiak and Dutch Harbor plus underway time on board the USCGC Polar Star, Polar Sea and Alex Haley. My time is recorded with many photos of Arctic & Antarctic ice, glaciers, midnight sun and the Bering Sea. Hawaii, well you can not say enough about it. I averaged 4 trips per year for over 5 years this means I am basically kamaaina (a local - almost).
