About Me: I enlisted in the Navy in 1975 and after boot camp was assigned to USS America - CV66. Went on the 76 med cruise where I was flown off to attend school. After GM 'A' school and GMM 'C' school, I was assigned to the USS Buchanan - DDG14 which was on a WestPac deployment. I picked up the ship in Subic in June of 77 and finished the cruise. In 1978 I was sent TDY to the USS Robison DDG12 where I spent the remainder of my active navy days including participating in the Iranian hostage crisis in 79. In 1980 I was honorably discharged from active duty and went into the active reserves. I was honorably discharged from the reserves in June of 1987 and remained out of the service until 2005 where I enlisted in the Air National Guard where I remain today. I will be reenlisting in the Guard for my final 6 years in the service within the next couple months.
