I am a 30-year-old native Texan, the granddaughter of two World War II Veterans. My adoptive mom's dad served in the U.S. Army and my birth mom's dad served in the German Luftwaffe. I became involved in the POW/MIA issue in 1998, while attending college, and it is a passion that still burns deep.
I am an adopted member of VVA #278, for which I am both the webmaster and the special advisor on POW/MIA affairs. Although I get emotional and nervous, I enjoy speaking at our annual POW/MIA vigils and at other events, such as Memorial Day services or Support the Troops rallies. I am also a life member of the Associates of VVA, and am flattered to hold the title of Honorary Member of the United States Coast Guard.
Most of all, I am a friend to veterans and proud of it!
BTW, confirmed on 15 November 2007 that my husband and I are expecting! You can be sure that our child will be raised to have great respect for God, our country, and our veterans!
