My AFSC included telecommunications, message switching systems (including AUTODIN), cryptographic systems of various types and levels of technology. My duty stations included 6920th Security Wing Wheeler AFB, Hawaii attached to PACAF Air Force Special Security Office (AFSSO) Hickam AFB, Hawaii; attached to AFSSO in the 3rd Air Division (SAC)on Guam; and finished my tour of duty at Myrtle Beach AFB, Myrtle Beach, SC (TAC)in the base telecommunications & crypto center. I am an Vietnam Veteran, and co-author of the Air Force Security Service Command Motto, "Freedom Thru Vigilance."
